Contacts are the people at a customer. Each contact belongs to one customer. Contacts from your CRM come in with the sync.

## Where to find contacts

- On the customer's **Overview** tab, in the **Contacts** box.
- On the customer's **Contacts** tab, as a full table.
- Through global search in the top bar.

## The contacts table

The **Contacts** tab lists each contact's **Contact Name**, **Title**, **Customer**, **Role**, **Email**, **Phone** and **Last Updated**. A **Portal user** label marks contacts who can sign in to your customer portal.

- **Search contacts** finds a contact by name or email.
- The sort icon orders the list by **Name**, **Last updated (Earliest)** or **Last updated (Latest)**.
- **Filter** opens the **Filters** panel. Filter by **Tags** and **Role**, then click **Apply**. **Clear** removes the filters.

## Add a contact

<Steps>

1. On the customer's **Contacts** tab, click **Add Contact**. On the **Overview** tab, click **Add** in the **Contacts** box.
2. Fill in **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Title**, **Email**, **Phone** and **Role**.
3. Optionally add **Tags**.
4. Click **Add contact**.

</Steps>

Roles are **Decision Maker**, **User** and **Admin**. Contact tags are **Primary contact** and **Champion**.

## Edit or remove a contact

Open the **⋯** menu on a contact:

- **Edit** opens the contact form. Click **Save changes** when you're done.
- **Delete** removes the contact after you confirm with **Remove**. A removed contact is archived and no longer shows up in lists or search.

## Invite a contact to your customer portal

You can invite a contact to work with you on a shared playbook. Open the **⋯** menu on the contact and choose **Invite to portal**. To take the access away again, choose **Remove access**.

See [Playbooks](/projects/playbooks/).
